LDW (Loss Damage Waiver)

A waiver covering both damage to and loss (theft) of the rental vehicle.

Loss Damage Waiver combines collision damage and theft protection in one product, a term used widely in North America. Like CDW it waives the operator's right to recover full costs, leaving an excess.
